Sound Communication is a North West-based social enterprise, offering high-quality communications, marketing and public relations services from an ethical standpoint. It is a Community Interest Company (CIC), independently regulated and run co-operatively.
I was contacted by Matthew Finnegan, who now oversees the company, in early 2008 on the recommendation of a former colleague. He invited me to join the organisation, and specifically to create the Sound Communication website and be involved in all web-related activities. The site I built launched in mid-February.
I have since helped produced a series of online marketing workshops for community groups around Greater Manchester and am currently working on the online arm of a TUC fair-pay campaign.
